The Ptuj Plain and the River Drava form the cycling foundation of the Drava Cycling Route (510 km), a popular long-distance cycle path that connects four countries (Italy, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia) through a tourism product. The cycling trend in Slovenia and abroad is exceptional, and therefore we wish to harness the potential of Styria and its neighbouring tourist regions, where the Tour of Slovenia takes place every year. In our region, you can even encounter world cycling champions such as Tadej Poga\u010dar and Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d during training. Slovenian cyclists are an inspiration to the whole world and, in combination with Slovenian cycling routes, we are becoming a world-famous tourist cycling destination.<\/strong>

Drava Cycling Route (Drava Bike) and Slovenian Mountain Bike Trail (STKP)<\/strong>
The location of The Point tourist accommodation is an excellent base for exploring nearby Ptuj and Maribor to the west, and Ormo\u017e and Vara\u017edin to the east along the Drava River. These cycling options are of an easier grade through flat terrain and are intended for a wider cycling population as well as families. The Drava Bike stages in Slovenia and Croatia are ideal for families and leisure cyclists who want more than just kilometres in their legs. These cyclists love discovering the most beautiful natural spots, feeling the vibe of the towns where they stop and stay overnight, and enjoying local cuisine and authentic experiences along the Drava River.

For more demanding cyclists, we recommend selected cycling routes towards the nearby Haloze, Jeruzalem-Ormo\u017e and Slovenske Gorice regions, where you can visit numerous interesting points of interest and hospitality-tourism partners. Mountain biking enthusiasts will be able to enjoy stages 27 and 28 (Bo\u010d \u2013 Gori\u0161nica and Gori\u0161nica \u2013 Maribor), which form part of the STKP, or Slovenian Mountain Biking Trail, featuring 43 stages across the whole of Slovenia.
